Hugh has a particular interest in Estate and Business Succession Planning and the above activities have a natural relationship with this role.

Hugh is a qualified Investment Advisor and with partner Brent Wilson, owns and operates the Central Otago franchise of Spicers Portfolio Management. This company provides Investment Advice, Mortgage Broking services, Risk Management reviews and is able to provide independant advice for insurance products relating to Life & Income Protection issues. Hugh is active in the community being involved in a number of Charitable Trusts involved in the education and development of youth and is a Rotarian. Hugh has also had a significant involvement in the administration of a number of sporting clubs over the years.

Interests include
Golf, Mountain and Road Biking, Indoor Rowing, the occasional family feud on the tennis court, and is an avid follower of most sports on the TV.
